Happiness through self-care

If you take care of the exhalation, the inhalation will take care of itself.
If you get rid of what is unwanted, you make space for what is needed.

This week almost finished. It has been good. This week I might have hit a limit as I had two days when the training left me particularly exhausted. I’m probably not sleeping enough … still waking up at 6am on a Saturday. ? So I must try harder to go to bed before 10:30pm. #earlyBird, what can I do? ![]()
This Friday was also the first day experimenting with a 7:30am start of the training session.
I would like to finish the work day at 4pm ideally and have time for study and other things before the 6pm training session.
The 7:30am start gets me to 4:30pm workday finish, which is better.
This week I’ve noticed some of my yoga postures are getting better. I can fold deeper, the legs are stronger, balance has improved.
Balance is a particular measure of progress for me due to one of my ankles being notoriously weak after repeated sprains.
I still enjoy finding various videos and mixing them up. Although there are even monthly programs out there, I am not up for trying them yet. I like my own exploration and diversity at the moment.
In the past I used to do monthly programs with BodyRock and more recently with various instructors on Daily Om.
The adventure continues!
Still looking at getting the most out of this time.
Whilst I do have occasional symptoms of lockdown, like being a bit irritated or with a bit of a low mood or missing people, switching my focus to exercise and creative endeavours helps break out of that.
Thus, I don’t wait for the mood to do those things, I do them to get into a better mood and in the mood for them. When it comes to exercise, it gets easier, it gets addictive, you end up craving the good feeling and look forward to it.
Music and dancing
is another method to lift up one’s mood. It always works for me. Push play and after a few beats I’m up shaking my booty with a smile on my face! ![]()
I feel blessed and I am #grateful every day for how wonderful moments can be. And I appreciate myself more.
We all use this lockdown time as we can and the situation is different for everybody. For me it turned into a time of #selfLove and #selfCare.
This has been week #3 of daily exercise started during lockdown.
